In 2022, the University of South Carolina had to change the mascot name for Sir Big Spur because they wanted to change the length of his comb. The University did a Twitter poll for a new name. 71% of the votes were for "Cock Commander," and the tweets went viral. The University chose "The General" instead, but I wanted to honor this amazing painting with the people's choice - "Cock Commander."
